![]() Other than the ability to play multiple games, my goal is to make the cabinet I'm working on as "real" as possible hiding the fact that there is a PC inside. That's great news about the security feature - I'll have to look into that further. I want to eliminate the system select screen entirely because there will only be one "system" installed. Most all in one launchers have a system select screen that brings you to the game select screen. I meant when Launchbox first starts can I set it up to go straight to a specific game list and not have to select MAME first (and also not be allowed to back out to some screen where you choose the emulator)? I know I can "shell" the PC and boot directly to Launchbox (or whatever program). r/pinball - Pinball specific discussion. r/arcade - Original CoinOP Arcade specific discussion. r/RetroGamingNetwork - a multireddit for retro gaming! r/HyperSpin - HyperSpin specific discussion. R/MAME RULES/REGULATIONS REDDIT'S ARCADE COMMUNITY Over time, MAME (originally stood for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) absorbed the sister-project MESS (Multi Emulator Super System), so MAME now documents a wide variety of (mostly vintage) computers, video game consoles and calculators, in addition to the arcade video games that were its initial focus. ![]() The fact that the software is usable serves primarily to validate the accuracy of the documentation (how else can you prove that you have recreated the hardware faithfully?). The source code to MAME serves as this documentation. This is achieved by documenting the hardware and how it functions. As electronic technology continues to rush forward, MAME prevents this important "vintage" software from being lost and forgotten. MAME’s purpose is to preserve decades of software history. MAME is a multi-purpose emulation framework. Questions? Please check out OUR MAME/BYOAC Wiki! ![]()
